CAER Heritage’s ‘Hidden Hillfort Project’: Scholarship Funding

The Hidden Hillfort Project was developed by Action in Caerau and Ely (ACE) in close partnership with Cardiff University and a range of local people, schools and major organisations like Cardiff Council and the Museum of Cardiff. A £830,000 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund has been secured towards the delivery of a £1.6 million project over three years ending in spring 2022. This significant funding will help create a Hidden Hillfort Heritage Centre at the site of Caerau Hillfort along with accessible heritage trails, interpretation, learning and creativity opportunities.

During the Hidden Hillfort Project’s delivery and legacy phases (2020-2023), Cardiff University have committed to funding seven full undergraduate degree scholarships for students from partner school Cardiff West Community High (CWCH)
