Junior chef 2025
We are delighted to announce that the Junior Chef Academy will run again in the academic year 2025-2026.
Junior Chef Academy is a course sponsored by Brakes, running in partnership with Cardiff Commitment, Cardiff and Vale College, Cardiff City Stadium, Compass Group and Cardiff West Community High School. There are only two schools in Wales being given this opportunity, and we are one of them!
The course is available to students who are thinking of getting a job in the Hospitality & Catering sector, one of the biggest industries in the UK and globally, or who would simply like to further their culinary skills.
The course consists of a 10-week training alongside professional chefs and front-of-house staff. Most of the sessions will be run at school, with the exception of students cooking once in the Cardiff and Vale College restaurant, and then preparing, cooking and serving their final meal to their friends and family in Cardiff City hospitality venue.
